Whether you’re a dedicated fan or just looking for something new to explore, we promises to deliver all the thrills and spills about Prajwal Revanna case: ‘Not kidnapped’, says victim in viral video | Bangalore News.
In a surprising development, a video of the victim of alleged kidnapping by JD(S) MLA H D Revanna was shared on various platforms where she claims that she was not kept against her will by the MLA and his men.
The video shared on Sunday came a week after the Special Investigation Team (SIT) rescued the woman from a residence belonging to an aide of H D Revanna at Hunsur in Mysuru district. This was following a complaint by her son at K R Nagar police station that she was kidnapped by the MLA’s men.
The video of the woman being allegedly sexually assaulted by Hassan JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna was among those leaked to the public ahead of the Lok Sabha polls on April 26. A third FIR was registered against the MP by the SIT last week after recording her statement.
In the video, speculated to have been shot before she was rescued, the victim is heard saying that she “was sad and decided to visit a relative for four days” as people were talking about the video. “What I want to say is that I did not face a problem from anyone, may it be Bhavani Revanna, Revanna, or Prajwal,” the victim says.
She also names Satish Babanna, an accused in the kidnapping case, saying that he had not caused her any problems. “They looked after me well and sent me back… They have not caused me any problems nor have they kidnapped me,” she said, adding that she was with her relatives and would return soon.
Noting that her son had filed a complaint, she said that this was because he was worried. “Nobody kidnapped me. I have gone of my own will and will come back,” she is heard saying.
In another development related to the case, Congress worker Naveen Gowda, among the accused involved in leaking the videos, put out a social media post on Sunday saying that he had given the pen drive he found on the streets on April 20 to Arkalgud JD(S) MLA A Manju the very next day. In the post, he contended that Manju could have been responsible for the leak.
Manju, however, denied the allegations saying that he did not know who Naveen Gowda was and blamed him for releasing the videos. “The SIT should investigate him first,” he said.
